How long does it take for an individual to complete a diagnostic?
Expect each diagnostic to take up to 20 minutes, varying by individual and reading style, etc.
How long do I have to wait to get my diagnostic results?
Your individual feedback is real-time and delivered to you within minutes of completion of your diagnostic. If you are participating along with others (team) then your team diagnostic results will be released when the last person on the team has completed theirs.
How does SightGlass know what recommendations to make to me based on the diagnostic results?
SightGlass relies on a comprehensive database of best practices, research, academic papers, etc. and uses that information as the basis for the diagnostic outputs. We’ve done the reading so you don’t have to!
What is Organizational Intelligence (OI), and why is it important?
Organizational Intelligence is the collective knowledge, insights, and experiences of your organization. It is an underutilized and undervalued resource, yet research suggests that having visibiltiy to OI is a critical factor in creating sustainable change. OI helps leaders make informed decisions, take meaningful actions, and maximize business impact either before taking on large change projects, or to put existing projects back on track.
How is SightGlass different from traditional business intelligence tools?
Unlike traditional Business Intelligence tools that tend to focus on external data, SightGlass unlocks the internal insights of your organization, complementing external analysis to strengthen leadership decisions.
What are the benefits of using SightGlass diagnostics?
SightGlass diagnostics:
– Improve decision-making.
– Increase alignment and collaboration.
– Provide strategic clarity and focus supported with clear, actionable insights.
SightGlass diagnostics are completed online and – even for large numbers of participants – results can be turned around in realtime. That means that organizations can put the data and recommendations/decisions to use quickly. No hard to schedule one to one interviews to capture information, and no more waiting weeks or months for consulting reports to come back.
How does the SightGlass diagnostic process work?
After you have selected the individuals that you want to participate in the SightGlass diagnostic, they will receive an email with a link to the diagnostic itself. Completing the initial diagnostic will take approximately 20 minutes. Immediately after the last participant has completed their diagnostic, full individual, team and organizational reports are created and accessible. The findings will largely prioritize the top issues or opportunites gleaned from the responses. These reports can be distributed and debriedfed individually or in a team setting (or both) so that the participants and leaders can all start to understand the implications of the findings, and established a prioritized list of actions for the business to undertake. The team can also elect to have SightGlass or a Certified SightGlass Partner support the team with debriefs, workshops and coaching.
At the option of the leader(s), additional diagnostics are available – useful for supporting a “deep dive” into the challenges or opportunities that the team prirotized based on the initial diagnostic results. The leader may choose to have the same participants as those involved in the SightGlass Diagnostic, but is more likely to involve a new or overlapping set of participatns who might be closer to or more impacted by the specific content focus. Those selected then take the “deep dive” SightGlass diagnostic. The process is the same for all SightGlass diagnostics – online completion, followed by access to individual, team and organizational reports and recommendations that drive action plans.
Can SightGlass diagnostics track progress over time?
